If you love Frances McDormand then this is a fun movie to watch. Its a tiny little film but Bharat Nalluri somehow manages froth and poignance. It is a bit too heavy-handed to reach the Anita Loos-meets-PG Wodehouse levels of lunacy it was set to meet but still is quite wonderful. Amy Adams channels Lorelai Lee so hard that her shoulder wriggles are totally out of control. Watch it especially if you are into period froth.
